Knowledge Management & Learning Specialist (Internal Only)

About the role

Mercy Corps is seeking a Knowledge Management & Learning Specialist to support its Climate‑Proofing Food Security program in Ethiopia. The role will focus on capturing, organizing, and disseminating lessons learned across agricultural, financial inclusion, and market‑linkage activities, while fostering a culture of continuous learning among staff and partners.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain a knowledge‑management system to document project interventions, outcomes, and best practices.
• Design and deliver learning modules, workshops, and training materials for field teams, cooperatives, and community groups.
• Facilitate knowledge‑sharing sessions, webinars, and peer‑learning networks across the six regional states.
• Collaborate with program managers, WFP, and local partners to integrate learning insights into program design.
• Monitor and evaluate the impact of learning activities on beneficiary outcomes.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of experience in knowledge management, learning and development, or related fields within humanitarian or development contexts.
• Strong understanding of agricultural development, micro‑finance, and community‑based approaches.
• Excellent communication and facilitation skills, with ability to work across diverse cultural settings.
• Fluent in English; knowledge of local languages is an asset.
