Lecturer – Electrical Engineering (Graduate Assistant)

About the role

The Department of Electrical Engineering at Shaggar Institute of Technology is hiring two graduate assistants to support its teaching and laboratory activities. The role combines lecture assistance, hands‑on laboratory supervision, and collaboration with international faculty to deliver high‑quality electrical engineering education.

Key responsibilities

• Assist professors during lectures and laboratory sessions, guiding students through experiments and equipment use.
• Design and update laboratory manuals and procedures in partnership with internal and international experts.
• Coordinate laboratory scheduling, maintain operational standards, and ensure safety compliance.
• Track, inventory, and manage electrical components and equipment for the department.
• Evaluate student performance, provide feedback, and advise on academic progress.
• Support extracurricular activities such as field trips, student clubs, and academic conferences.
• Prepare reports on academic outcomes and suggest improvements for department performance.
• Contribute to the setup of new electrical engineering labs and foster a collaborative research environment.

Required profile

• M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering or a closely related field.
• Practical experience operating electrical laboratory equipment and handling delicate electronic components with ESD protection.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills in English.
• Commitment to educational quality, innovation, and community impact.

Required skills

• Proficiency with DMM, oscilloscope, function generator, power supply, LCR meter, and soldering/rework tools.
• Hands‑on experience in core electrical laboratories, electrical installation, and wiring.
• Experience with store‑keeping and inventory management systems.
• Knowledge of ESD‑safe handling procedures for delicate components.
