Level I Trauma Abstractor – Remote

About the role

American Data Network is seeking experienced Level I Trauma Abstractors to provide accurate and timely trauma data abstraction for its healthcare clients. The position is fully remote and ideal for professionals who have recent hands‑on experience with Level I Trauma registries and can work independently to meet strict quality and deadline requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Review patient medical records and extract detailed injury, treatment, and outcome information for the Trauma Registry.
• Apply registry specifications, inclusion/exclusion criteria, and abstraction guidelines consistently.
• Enter data into registry platforms, EHR systems, or vendor tools with a high degree of accuracy.
• Maintain productivity targets, meet weekly progress goals, and adhere to client deadlines.
• Participate in quality‑assurance activities such as feedback, validation, and inter‑rater reliability reviews.
• Communicate professionally with account leads, team members, and client contacts for clarification.

Required profile

• Minimum two years of recent Level I Trauma Registry abstraction experience.
• Completed Trauma Registry Course, AAAM AIS Coding Course, and an ICD‑10 coding course within the past five years.
• Strong ability to interpret clinical documentation and abstract data independently.
• Understanding of healthcare quality reporting and medical record interpretation.
• Ability to work remotely with minimal supervision while maintaining confidentiality and HIPAA compliance.
