About the role
American Data Network is seeking experienced Level I Trauma Abstractors to provide accurate, timely trauma data abstraction for its healthcare clients. This remote position is ideal for professionals with recent hands‑on experience in Level I trauma registry abstraction who can work independently while maintaining high quality standards.
Key responsibilities
- Review patient medical records and abstract detailed injury and care data for the Trauma Registry.
- Apply registry specifications, inclusion/exclusion criteria, and abstraction guidelines consistently.
- Enter complete and accurate data into registry platforms, EHRs, or vendor tools.
- Maintain high abstraction accuracy, meet productivity goals and client deadlines.
- Participate in quality assurance activities, including feedback, validation, and inter‑rater reliability reviews.
- Communicate professionally with account leads, team members, and client contacts for clarifications.
- Ensure strict confidentiality and compliance with HIPAA and data security requirements.
Required profile
- Minimum of 2 years recent Level I Trauma Registry abstraction experience.
- Current trauma registry and coding education, including completed Trauma Registry Course, AAAM AIS Coding Course, and ICD‑10 coding course within the past five years.
- Ability to independently abstract Level I Trauma cases using registry specifications.
- Strong understanding of healthcare quality reporting, clinical documentation review, and medical record interpretation.
- Capability to work independently with minimal supervision.
