Mabaan-English Interpreter – Remote Full‑Time

About the role

This full‑time remote position is for native Mabaan speakers with strong English skills, providing real‑time interpreting via telephone or video. Interpreters will work with clients in healthcare, courts, education and government sectors, ensuring accurate and culturally appropriate communication.

Key responsibilities

• Provide real‑time interpreting between Mabaan and English through phone or video calls.
• Listen carefully to speakers and convey meaning, tone and intent faithfully and neutrally.
• Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in every interaction.
• Support customers across healthcare, legal, education and government contexts following quality standards.
• Complete required documentation and collaborate with support teams as needed.
• Use GLOBO’s technology platforms efficiently.

Required profile

• Strong proficiency in both Mabaan and English with excellent listening, speaking and comprehension abilities.
• Ability to interpret impartially while respecting cultural nuances.
• Reliable high‑speed internet connection and a quiet, private workspace for confidential calls.
• High school diploma or equivalent; interpreting or linguistics training is a plus.
• Comfort with remote communication technologies and ability to manage time effectively.
