Managing Principal for SOS Schools

About the role

The Managing Principal will lead the overall management of SOS School and its affiliated Kindergarten in Hawassa. Reporting to the Education and Training Manager, the role ensures the school operates efficiently, upholds the organisation’s safeguarding standards, and delivers high‑quality education.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee day‑to‑day operations of the school and kindergarten, including academic, administrative and financial functions.
• Supervise and support teaching and non‑teaching staff, fostering a collaborative and motivated workforce.
• Drive continuous improvement of the educational programme and curriculum delivery.
• Promote a positive learning environment that engages students and aligns with the enterprise’s core values.
• Ensure strict compliance with the Child & Youth Safeguarding Policy, Code of Conduct and anti‑fraud measures.
• Represent the school in community and stakeholder engagements.

Required profile

• Proven experience in school leadership or senior educational management.
• Strong understanding of safeguarding principles and ethical standards.
• Excellent organisational, communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
• Commitment to the dual mission of profit generation and social impact.
