About the role

The Production Research Agronomist in Ethiopia plays a strategic role in advancing Bayer's seed production capabilities. This position focuses on deploying research‑based agronomic solutions, driving continuous improvement, and transferring best practices to ensure high‑performing, cost‑effective, and sustainable seed production systems.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the strategic deployment of innovative seed production technologies and agronomic practices, ensuring effective integration and sustainable adoption.
• Drive operational excellence through continuous improvement initiatives that enhance quality, cost efficiency, productivity, and yield.
• Establish and maintain cross‑functional partnerships with internal stakeholders, including Foundation and Commercial Seed Production teams, R&D, and Global SPI.
• Lead technical capability building and knowledge transfer for production teams and Bayer seed growers.
• Oversee deployment field trials and research initiatives, ensuring robust data generation and analysis to inform evidence‑based decisions.
• Support regulatory and compliance requirements for production processes.
