Program Assistant, Ethiopia

About the role

The Program Assistant in Ethiopia will support the Senior Program Manager, East Africa in planning and executing initiatives that provide free cleft treatment to children across the region. This role ensures operational efficiency, compliance, and effective communication with partners.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in developing and monitoring operational plans and budgets within approved financial limits.
• Review and analyze grant requests from local partners, conduct due‑diligence, and recommend approvals.
• Provide logistical support for events and field operations, including travel arrangements and bookings.
• Prepare marketing materials and support branding on social platforms.
• Ensure all activities comply with local laws, U.S. regulations, and Smile Train’s Safety & Quality Protocol.
• Communicate organizational values, track cleft‑related developments, and share feedback with partners.
• Capture and share stories, images, and videos for internal and external use.
• Maintain ongoing communication with implementing partners to support current and future programs.
