Project Assistant – Reintegration (Affiliated Contract)

About the role

The International Organization for Migration (IOM) seeks a Project Assistant to support the Reintegration component of its Protection Unit. The role involves assisting with the implementation, monitoring, and administrative coordination of project activities aimed at supporting migrants, refugees, and other vulnerable groups.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in the implementation and monitoring of project activities.
• Retrieve, compile, summarize and present data on specific project topics.
• Monitor the project budget, verify fund availability, obtain approvals and update budget information.
• Coordinate administrative actions, liaise with internal units and external partners, and process clearances.
• Draft status reports, correspondence, briefing notes, graphics, statistical tables and presentations.
• Organise meetings, workshops and training sessions.
• Respond to information requests, maintain files and records.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Required profile

• School diploma with at least four years of relevant experience, or a Bachelor’s degree in political/social sciences, International Relations, Development Studies, Migration Studies, Human Rights, Law or related fields with at least two years of experience.
• Experience liaising with governmental authorities, UN agencies, NGOs and other institutions.
• Experience working with migrants, refugees, internally displaced persons, victims of trafficking or other vulnerable groups.
• Prior experience in an international humanitarian or multi‑cultural environment is an advantage.
