Project Associate – Labor Migration & Social Inclusion

About the role

The International Organization for Migration (IOM) is seeking a Project Associate to support the implementation of Labor Migration and Social Inclusion (LMI) initiatives in Ethiopia. Working under the Senior Migration Management and Governance Officer and directly with the National Programme Officer (LMI), the incumbent will ensure smooth administrative, logistical and operational execution of project activities.

Key responsibilities

• Provide administrative and logistical support for project plans, trainings, workshops, assessments and consultant missions.
• Coordinate procurement actions, travel arrangements and other programme support functions in line with donor requirements and IOM regulations.
• Facilitate internal coordination across finance, procurement, logistics and programme units.
• Maintain continuity and efficiency across LMI initiatives, including labor mobility, capacity‑building and diaspora engagement.

Required profile

• High school diploma with at least four years relevant experience, or a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, Social Sciences, Law or a related field with at least two years relevant experience.
• Demonstrated ability to manage administrative and logistical tasks in a project environment.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Required skills

• Proficiency in standard office software (e.g., word processing, spreadsheets, email).
• Experience with procurement, travel coordination and logistical support.
