Project Manager – Field Support Services (Ethiopia)

About the role

Alinea International is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the Field Support Services program across Ethiopia, Sudan, South Sudan, and the Pan‑African region. Based in Addis Ababa, you will work closely with the Canadian Project Director and DFATD to ensure effective planning, implementation, monitoring, and reporting of Canada’s international assistance.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and manage detailed project plans, defining deliverables and key milestones in collaboration with DFATD.
• Track project progress, maintain risk and issue registers, and conduct ongoing risk management, escalating issues as needed.
• Coordinate technical expertise requests, short‑term assistance, research, and analysis to support project conceptualization and feasibility studies.
• Ensure timely delivery of activities, operational effectiveness, and alignment with recipient countries’ development priorities.

Required profile

• Proven experience in managing complex development projects, preferably in multi‑country contexts.
• Strong analytical and reporting skills with the ability to synthesize data for decision‑making.
• Excellent communication in English (reading, writing, speaking); additional languages are an asset.
• Residency in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.
