Protection Officer – GBV Case Management Supervisor

About the role

The Protection Officer – GBV Case Management Supervisor will lead and support the GBV case management team at the Humera Field Office, ensuring high‑quality, survivor‑centered services. Working under the Protection Coordinator and Case Management Specialist, the role focuses on technical guidance, supervision, and capacity building.

Key responsibilities

• Provide ongoing technical mentorship to GBV caseworkers and PCM assistants, ensuring adherence to Inter‑Agency GBV Case Management Guidelines.
• Conduct weekly one‑on‑one supervision sessions and bi‑weekly team meetings to review case progress and promote peer learning.
• Review case files bi‑weekly for quality, accuracy, and confidentiality.
• Assess staff capacity, identify gaps, and develop targeted action plans.
• Monitor data entry quality and ensure compliance with data protection protocols.
• Deliver training, coaching, and on‑the‑job support on GBV principles, psychosocial support, referral pathways, and documentation.
• Provide direct case management support for complex, high‑risk, or sensitive cases.

Required profile

• Relevant experience in GBV case management and protection within humanitarian settings.
• Demonstrated ability to supervise and mentor staff.
• Strong understanding of survivor‑centered approaches and confidentiality standards.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Required skills

• Knowledge of Inter‑Agency GBV Case Management Guidelines.
• Proficiency in case documentation and data management systems.
• Capacity to design and deliver training sessions.
