Quality Intern (12‑month paid internship)

About the role

JTI Ethiopia is seeking a motivated Quality Intern to join its manufacturing team for a 12‑month paid program. This position offers fresh graduates the chance to gain hands‑on experience in quality improvement, defect analysis, and continuous improvement within a global tobacco company.

Key responsibilities

• Support analysis of quality defects and assist in root‑cause identification.
• Review inspection procedures, flag gaps, and suggest improvements.
• Monitor quality KPIs, prepare basic reports and updates.
• Participate in cross‑functional quality improvement projects with Production and Quality teams.
• Maintain documentation, organise data, and follow up on quality activities.

Required profile

• Fresh graduate (2025/2026) in Applied Chemistry, Industrial Chemistry, Engineering or a related field.
• Strong analytical mindset with high attention to detail.
• Fluent in spoken and written English.
• Curious, proactive and eager to learn.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Experience with Power BI for data visualisation.
