Regional Clinical Officer – REACH Malaria

About the role

PATH is seeking a Regional Clinical Officer to support the USG‑funded REACH Malaria project. Based in the Oromia region (Jimma and Addis Ababa), the officer will provide technical assistance, mentorship, and supervision to health facilities and community health workers to improve malaria case management and related health services.

Key responsibilities

• Provide regular mentorship and supportive supervision to staff at health posts and health centers on malaria case management.
• Coordinate with district health offices and regional health bureaus to plan and implement malaria support packages.
• Assist regional planning, implementation, and monitoring of malaria diagnosis and treatment activities.
• Develop or review tools such as mentorship checklists, job aids, SOPs, and desktop references for health facilities.
• Conduct baseline assessments and follow‑up evaluations to track improvements in service quality.

Required profile

• Experience in malaria case management and health‑facility support.
• Ability to deliver technical assistance, mentorship, and supervision to health workers.
• Familiarity with regional health planning and monitoring processes.
