Senior Accountant

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Accountant to lead financial planning, budgeting and reporting for our construction business in Addis Ababa. The role will ensure compliance with Ethiopian tax regulations and provide strategic insights to senior management.

Key responsibilities

• Manage financial planning, budgeting and forecasting activities.
• Oversee accounting and financial reporting in line with Ethiopian tax laws and standards.
• Ensure ongoing compliance with financial regulations.
• Provide financial analysis, insights and recommendations to senior management.
• Monitor cash flow, financial performance and risk indicators.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in finance or accounting, including at least 3 years in a similar senior role.
• In‑depth understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Professional certification such as CPA or equivalent is a plus.

Required skills

• Proficiency with financial software and Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with ERP systems, preferably Odoo or SAP.
