Senior Data Manager

About the role

The Senior Data Manager will support the Alliance Senior Director in delivering high‑quality data management for research, consultancy and program implementation activities at ABH Partners. Working closely with project teams, researchers, consultants and the MEL unit, the role ensures reliable data for evidence‑based decision‑making.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement data management plans, SOPs and quality‑assurance procedures for all projects.
• Design, test, and maintain electronic data collection tools using ODK, KoboToolbox, SurveyCTO and similar platforms.
• Manage project databases, ensure data security, backup, and compliance with donor and ethical standards.
• Conduct statistical analyses with STATA, SPSS and R; prepare tables, graphs and analytical summaries for reports and publications.
• Provide technical support and capacity‑building to field teams throughout data collection and analysis phases.

Required profile

• Proven experience in data management for research, consultancy or program monitoring projects.
• Strong understanding of data confidentiality, security and donor compliance requirements.
• Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams and provide training.
• Senior‑level expertise with a track record of delivering accurate, timely data products.
