Senior Driver (G-3) – Fixed Term

About the role

The Senior Driver (G-3) provides secure, professional transportation for the Head of Office at UNICEF Ethiopia. This fixed‑term position combines high‑level driving duties with basic administrative and logistical support, ensuring smooth travel for official appointments, field missions and meetings.

Key responsibilities

• Drive the Head of Office safely to and from official engagements, field visits and residences.
• Coordinate travel schedules with internal and external stakeholders, respecting diplomatic and UN protocols.
• Maintain the vehicle in excellent condition, handling routine checks, fueling and minor maintenance.
• Utilise digital tracking systems to log journeys and ensure compliance with security procedures.
• Provide basic administrative assistance such as preparing travel documents and managing expense records.
• Support and mentor junior drivers, fostering a culture of professionalism and client‑service orientation.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a professional driver, preferably in an international or diplomatic environment.
• Strong knowledge of UN and diplomatic travel protocols.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work with diverse cultural backgrounds.
• High sense of responsibility, discretion and client‑oriented attitude.
