Senior Human Resources Officer

About the role

Safe Zone Logistics PLC is seeking a Senior Human Resources Officer to join its team in Addis Ababa. This full‑time, on‑site position will lead the development and execution of HR initiatives that support a positive workplace culture and ensure compliance with local labour regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Design, update and implement HR policies and procedures aligned with company objectives.
• Draft, review and maintain accurate job descriptions for all positions.
• Manage employee relations, address concerns, and promote engagement strategies.
• Monitor compliance with Ethiopian labour laws and advise management on regulatory matters.
• Support talent development through performance management, training coordination and career planning.

Required profile

• Proven experience in HR management, preferably at a senior level.
• Demonstrated ability to develop and implement HR policies and job descriptions.
• Strong background in employee relations and engagement.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Relevant academic qualification in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, Organizational Psychology or a related field.
• Familiarity with Ethiopian labour legislation is a plus.
