Senior Parts Planner

About the role

The Senior Parts Planner will ensure that a large Komatsu mining fleet of around 80 units remains operational by providing accurate, hands‑on parts planning aligned with maintenance schedules and site priorities. The role supports equipment availability targets and contractual obligations through proactive forecasting, stock monitoring and close collaboration with maintenance teams.

Key responsibilities

• Execute daily parts planning based on maintenance plans, breakdowns and operational priorities.
• Translate weekly, monthly, quarterly and yearly maintenance schedules into actionable parts requirements.
• Maintain up‑to‑date parts forecasts, adjusting them according to actual consumption and site feedback.
• Monitor on‑site stock levels and trigger timely replenishment recommendations.
• Ensure critical parts are available for planned maintenance to avoid equipment downtime.
• Collaborate with Customer Maintenance Teams and the Site Manager to capture upcoming needs and validate requirements.
• Follow up on open orders, back‑orders and deliveries to guarantee parts availability.
• Control emergency orders and minimise costly air‑freight shipments.
• Analyse consumption trends and propose improvements for stock accuracy.
• Utilise the INFOR M3 ERP system for planning, tracking and reporting.
• Support the warehouse in identifying slow‑moving, obsolete or critical stock items.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Engineering or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in mining or heavy‑equipment maintenance, with at least 5 years in parts planning.
• Hands‑on experience with Komatsu equipment (PC2000, HD785, D275, WA600, GD825 or similar).
• Strong understanding of maintenance planning and component lifecycle.
• Fluent English.
