Supply Chain Assistant – Humanitarian Logistics

About the role

The Danish Refugee Council is seeking a Supply Chain Assistant to support its humanitarian operations in Humera, Ethiopia. You will ensure that procurement, warehouse, and fleet activities comply with DRC procedures while providing efficient logistical support to program teams.

Key responsibilities

• Administer procurement processes in line with the DRC Operations Handbook.
• Maintain procurement databases, track orders, and produce weekly/monthly status reports.
• Manage warehouse operations, including reporting, alerts, and coordination with program staff.
• Assist in recruitment, training, and capacity building of the logistics team.
• Develop and follow annual procurement plans, negotiate with suppliers, and oversee contracts.
• Implement ERP supply‑chain processes and ensure donor compliance.
• Oversee fleet and asset management, ensuring vehicle documentation, maintenance, and insurance are up to date.

Required profile

• Minimum 1‑2 years of experience in humanitarian logistics, supply‑chain, fleet or asset management.
• Proven ability to work with service providers and contractors.
• High integrity, proactive attitude, and strong teamwork skills.
