Support Service Team Leader

About the role

The Support Service Team Leader will oversee Finance, Human Resources, Administration and Supply Chain functions for the DRC office in Debark/Dabat, Ethiopia. Reporting to senior management, the role ensures compliance with DRC policies, donor regulations and national legislation while providing strategic operational support to programme delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and supervise finance, HR, administration and supply‑chain teams, including satellite offices.
• Develop and monitor departmental work plans, budgets, forecasts and financial reports.
• Ensure compliance with DRC financial procedures, donor requirements and statutory tax/social security obligations.
• Oversee recruitment, onboarding, performance management and staff development.
• Manage procurement planning, tender processes and contract administration.
• Maintain office facilities, administrative systems and coordinate with supply‑chain for operational support.
• Prepare donor financial reports and provide analysis for management decision‑making.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading multi‑disciplinary support services teams in an international or humanitarian setting.
• Strong knowledge of financial management, budgeting, procurement and HR policies.
• Excellent understanding of donor compliance, audit readiness and national legislation.
• Demonstrated ability to coach, mentor and develop staff.
• Fluent in English; knowledge of local language(s) is an advantage.
