Trainee Banker – Entry-Level Banking Position

About the role

The Trainee Banker position offers fresh graduates a structured introduction to banking operations, customer service, and financial processes. Through a combination of classroom training and on‑the‑job learning, you will develop the technical and professional competencies needed for a successful banking career.

Key responsibilities

• Participate in orientation and structured training programs.
• Support daily branch activities and banking operations under supervision.
• Assist customers by providing information on products and services.
• Help with account opening, documentation, and transaction processing.
• Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with banking procedures.
• Learn and apply relevant banking regulations and policies.
• Prepare reports and maintain proper documentation as assigned.
• Collaborate with various departments to gain practical experience.
• Deliver professional, customer‑focused service.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Banking & Insurance, Accounting, Management, Economics, Business Administration or a related field.
• Graduated in 2018 Ethiopian Calendar (equivalent to 2025 Gregorian) or later; fresh graduates only.
• Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher.
• Strong analytical and numerical abilities, good communication and interpersonal skills.
• High level of integrity and professionalism.

Required skills

• Basic proficiency with MS Office and other digital tools.
• Customer‑service orientation and ability to work effectively in a team.
• Strong learning attitude, adaptability, and good organizational and time‑management skills.
