Women and Girls Friendly Spaces (WGFS) & PSS Facilitator

About the role

The Women and Girls Friendly Spaces (WGFS) & Psychosocial Support (PSS) Facilitator will lead the implementation of WGFS programmes, ensuring safe, confidential, and empowering environments for women and girls in humanitarian settings. The role combines protection programming with community‑based psychosocial support, aiming to prevent and respond to gender‑based violence.

Key responsibilities

• Implement WGFS activities in line with minimum standards, guaranteeing accessibility and safety.
• Provide psychosocial support and coordinate referral pathways for survivors of GBV.
• Facilitate refugee‑led women’s ownership of WGFS outreach, referral services, and community protection initiatives.
• Ensure programming is participatory, culturally appropriate, and survivor‑centred.
• Document activities, produce reports, and maintain confidentiality of vulnerable populations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in social work, psychology, gender studies, child development, sociology, anthropology or related field.
• Minimum three years of experience in protection programming, preferably WGFS or GBV response with PSS.
• Knowledge of GBV and PSS standards; training on PM+ and Self‑Help Plus (SH+).
• Fluency in the local language and basic English communication skills.
• Ability to work under time pressure and in hardship field locations.
