About the role

InfoFeed is seeking a dynamic Amharic News Presenter and Anchor to join its Addis Ababa bureau. The role involves delivering international news in Amharic to a global audience, both on‑air and online, while upholding the organization’s standards of accuracy and clarity.

Key responsibilities

• Present and anchor daily news bulletins in Amharic, ensuring clear and engaging delivery.
• Research, verify, and fact‑check international news items before broadcast.
• Collaborate with editorial and production teams to develop story scripts and visual packages.
• Contribute written news pieces and online articles for InfoFeed’s digital platforms.
• Utilize social media channels to promote stories and interact with the audience.
• Maintain tight deadlines and adapt quickly to breaking news situations.

Required profile

• Proven experience in broadcast journalism or news presenting.
• Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Mass Communication, Amharic Language or a related field.
• Fluent in English and Amharic with excellent verbal communication.
• Strong knowledge of current international affairs and global news trends.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
