About the role

The International Rescue Committee (IRC) is seeking a reliable Cleaner to maintain a safe, tidy, and welcoming environment across its office spaces in Ethiopia. You will support staff and guests by ensuring all work areas, furniture, equipment, and restrooms are kept clean and well‑stocked.

Key responsibilities

• Clean office furniture, equipment, rooms, and restrooms on a daily basis.
• Monitor and report cleaning‑supply levels to the supervisor, ensuring timely replenishment.
• Prepare and serve tea, coffee, and water for staff and visitors, keeping all related equipment clean.
• Collect, wash, and store serving materials; arrange tables and chairs after use.
• Manage coffee supplies for the team and handle special‑occasion service when required.
• Dispose of unwanted papers and dirty materials safely, including burning in designated pits.
• Maintain punctuality and an active presence in the workplace.
