Cluster Coordinator – iWork Programme

About the role

We are seeking a proactive Cluster Coordinator to lead the iWork programme across the assigned cluster (Addis Ababa, Jimma, Harar). Reporting to the Location Program Director, you will oversee planning, implementation, monitoring, quality assurance and reporting of interventions that focus on workforce development, host‑institution facilitation and ecosystem strengthening.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate all phases of the iWork programme within the cluster, ensuring alignment with SOS Children’s Villages policies, donor requirements and national regulations.
• Develop and maintain partnerships with government bodies, private‑sector employers, TVET institutions and One‑Stop Service Centres to create quality internship opportunities for young women and disadvantaged groups.
• Monitor programme performance, prepare regular reports and ensure compliance with safeguarding standards.
• Facilitate host‑institution placements and support ecosystem actors to strengthen pathways to employment.
• Lead a small team of field staff, providing guidance and capacity‑building as needed.

Required profile

• Relevant university degree or equivalent experience in programme coordination, development or related fields.
• Minimum 3‑5 years experience managing development programmes in an NGO or humanitarian context.
• Strong understanding of labour market dynamics, TVET systems and youth employment strategies.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder‑engagement and reporting skills.

Required skills
