Movement Operations Associate – Team Leader (Field Support)

About the role

The Movement Operations Associate – Team Leader (Field Support) supports the organized movement of migrants and refugees by overseeing field activities and ensuring smooth airport operations. Reporting to senior staff, the role combines hands‑on field work with team leadership in a humanitarian logistics environment.

Key responsibilities

• Undertake field activities in assigned locations such as airports, transit centres, camps or sub‑offices.
• Monitor and guide Operations Clerks and Operations Assistants to ensure completion of field support tasks.
• Lead Field Support Teams in delivering airport services, including custodial care of travel documents, identity verification, and assistance with flight arrivals, check‑in and luggage formalities.
• Verify exit permissions, visas, tickets and other travel documentation and support migrants and refugees through airport formalities.

Required profile

• Ability to work under the supervision of the National Associate Operations Officer and the Senior Operations Assistant (Field Support).
• Experience in coordinating field operations and managing small teams in a migration or humanitarian context.
• Strong attention to detail when handling travel documentation and verifying identities.
