Packaging Process Operator

About the role

The Packaging Process Operator is responsible for operating and maintaining packaging equipment to ensure optimal effectiveness and product quality. You will work on a dynamic production line, supporting continuous improvement and safe operations.

Key responsibilities

• Start‑up, shut‑down and run packaging machines.
• Perform brand pack changes and autonomous maintenance.
• Conduct regular checks to verify correct set‑up and operation.
• Monitor process performance and report deviations.
• Support training, coach operational teams and assist in problem‑solving.
• Contribute to continuous‑improvement initiatives and assess staff as needed.
• Maintain a safe and healthy work environment.

Required profile

• Active team player with strong vigilance and quick action.
• Proven problem‑solving ability and manual dexterity.
• Matric qualification and ability to work shifts.
• At least three years of experience in a packaging process environment.
• Demonstrated performance record within SAB.
