People and Culture Intern

About the role

Join JTI Ethiopia as a People and Culture Intern and gain hands‑on experience across core HR functions. This 12‑month paid internship is designed for fresh graduates eager to develop practical skills in recruitment, onboarding, employee engagement, learning and development, and people operations.

Key responsibilities

• Support recruitment activities such as CV screening, interview scheduling, candidate communication, and documentation.
• Assist with onboarding processes to ensure new hires have a smooth and positive experience.
• Contribute to employee engagement initiatives, internal communications, and People & Culture events.
• Maintain and update HR data, trackers, and reports with accuracy and confidentiality.
• Help coordinate learning and development activities, including training logistics, attendance tracking, and follow‑up communication.

Required profile

• Fresh graduate in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, Management, Psychology, or a related field.
• Strong interpersonal and communication abilities.
• Fluency in English, both spoken and written.
• High level of confidentiality, integrity, and attention to detail.
• Collaborative mindset and eagerness to learn.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word.
• Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint.
