Professor – Artificial Intelligence

About the role

The Department of Artificial Intelligence at Shaggar Institute of Technology is looking for two visionary faculty members to coordinate and teach a globally‑connected AI program. The position combines curriculum design, virtual instruction, and leadership of an international teaching team.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and continuously improve an AI curriculum aligned with ABET and other international standards.
• Coordinate a virtual teaching program with faculty and diaspora experts from the United States, Europe and beyond.
• Supervise student projects, integrate cutting‑edge research, and mentor students in AI and machine‑learning techniques.
• Ensure course quality, monitor student progress and maintain accreditation compliance.
• Participate in departmental and institutional governance through academic committees.
• Develop collaborations with national and international research and technology organizations.

Required profile

• Ph.D. in Artificial Intelligence, Computer Science, Machine Learning or a closely related field.
• Academic rank of Associate Professor or higher with proven leadership and administrative experience.
• Strong record of teaching, research, and mentorship in AI or related disciplines.
• Experience coordinating international or virtual academic programs and familiarity with ABET or similar accreditation standards.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a commitment to educational quality and innovation.

Required skills

• Programming languages: Python, SQL, C++, Java, R.
• Machine‑learning frameworks: PyTorch, TensorFlow, Scikit‑learn, Hugging Face.
• Cloud platforms: AWS, Azure, GCP.
• DevOps/MLOps tools: GitHub, Docker, Kubernetes.
• Scientific computing tools and relevant databases.
• Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
