Programme Associate – Temporary (6 months)

About the role

The Programme Associate provides specialised programme and administrative support to help develop, implement and monitor UNICEF programmes in Ethiopia. Working under the guidance of a supervisor, the role focuses on data analysis, budget tracking, reporting and coordination with internal and external partners.

Key responsibilities

• Support project planning, execution and monitoring for assigned initiatives.
• Assist in establishing partnership management functions, including risk assessments, due diligence and compliance checks.
• Coordinate funding authorisation and Certificate of Expenditure requests to ensure alignment with work plans.
• Monitor timely liquidation of Direct Cash Transfers.
• Collect, analyse and present qualitative and quantitative programme data for evidence‑based decision‑making.
• Generate regular reports, dashboards and presentations on key performance indicators and donor reporting.

Required profile

• Relevant university degree or equivalent experience in programme management, development studies or a related field.
• Strong analytical mindset with ability to interpret data and produce clear reports.
• Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work collaboratively with programme managers, partners and stakeholders.
