Project Assistant – Return and Reintegration

About the role

The International Organization for Migration (IOM) in Ethiopia is seeking a Project Assistant to support the Return and Reintegration team within the Protection Unit. The role focuses on providing immediate post‑arrival assistance to vulnerable migrant returnees in Addis Ababa.

Key responsibilities

• Provide general and clerical assistance for project activities.
• Retrieve, compile, summarize and present data on specific project topics.
• Assist in monitoring and updating budget information.
• Coordinate administrative actions with internal units and external partners, including requests, clearances and follow‑up.
• Draft status reports, correspondence, briefing notes, graphics, statistical tables, presentations and other documentation.
• Support the organization of meetings, workshops and training sessions.
• Respond to information requests, maintain files and records.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Required profile

• School diploma with at least three years of relevant experience, or a bachelor’s degree.
• Experience in project support or administrative coordination, preferably in humanitarian or migration contexts.
