Remote Accountant – Full‑time

About the role

We are looking for a detail‑oriented Accountant to join our remote team on a full‑time basis. The role will support our business growth by delivering accurate financial data, ensuring compliance with US GAAP or UK IFRS/UK GAAP, and providing strategic insights to management.

Key responsibilities

• Record daily financial transactions, including expenses, revenue and invoices in the general ledger.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements in accordance with the applicable accounting standards.
• Perform bank reconciliations, monitor accounts payable/receivable and ensure tax compliance.
• Compute tax payments, prepare tax returns and process payroll in line with local regulations.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting and expense analysis to identify cost‑saving opportunities.
• Support internal and external audits by supplying required documentation and explanations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline.
• 3‑5 years of experience as an Accountant or in a comparable role.
• Professional certification preferred (CPA for US, ACCA/ACA/CIMA for UK).
• Strong analytical ability, high attention to detail and capacity to meet tight deadlines.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, Sage or SAP.
