Senior Amharic Linguistic QA Tester – Remote (Mac M‑Series Required)

About the role

Acclaro is seeking an experienced Senior Amharic Linguistic QA Tester to join its global localization community. You will work remotely, testing cutting‑edge software applications and AI models destined for the Ethiopian market, ensuring linguistic quality and cultural relevance.

Key responsibilities

• Execute comprehensive linguistic QA on English‑to‑Amharic software interfaces and AI‑generated content.
• Identify, log, and track linguistic errors, visual layout issues, and functional defects using standard issue‑tracking tools.
• Enforce project glossaries, style guides, and brand‑specific localization standards.
• Validate cultural appropriateness and idiomatic accuracy for the Ethiopian audience.
• Collaborate with remote engineers and QA leads, providing clear feedback in English.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of hands‑on experience in linguistic QA, software localization testing, proofreading, or professional translation (English → Amharic).
• Native fluency in Amharic with strong grammar, typography, and orthography skills.
• Professional‑level written English.
• Active access to a Mac computer equipped with an Apple Silicon M‑series chip (M1 or newer).
