Senior Civil Structural Engineer

About the role

AZAD Design Build PLC is seeking a highly qualified Senior Structural Office Engineer to lead design review, optimise engineering solutions and manage contract administration for complex building projects. The role involves close coordination with quantity surveyors, resident engineers and multidisciplinary teams to deliver projects on schedule, within budget and in full compliance with client expectations and regulatory requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Review structural designs, drawings and calculations for accuracy, constructability and compliance, and propose optimisation strategies.
• Manage the full contract cycle from bid preparation and evaluation through negotiation, award and project close‑out, maintaining all documentation and variations.
• Ensure quality control across all project stages, monitor progress against schedule and budget, and identify risks and corrective actions.
• Lead and coordinate the office team, work closely with resident engineers and quantity surveyors, and conduct site visits to verify progress and certify payments.
• Provide leadership, mentorship and maintain professional communication with clients, consultants and contractors.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (Master’s preferred).
• Minimum 8 years of experience in structural engineering, design review and construction administration.
• Proven experience in contract management, quality control and project coordination.
• Strong leadership, communication and team‑management abilities.
• Willingness to travel frequently to project sites and work in a fast‑paced environment.
