Senior HR, Safeguarding and Admin Officer

About the role

The Senior HR, Safeguarding and Admin Officer provides operational leadership across human resources, administration and safeguarding functions for the Area Office and its project sites. The role ensures recruitment, staff management, performance and learning processes are aligned with organisational policies while maintaining a safe, inclusive workplace.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate recruitment planning with field offices, manage the full hiring cycle, and maintain recruitment trackers.
• Oversee staff movements including promotions, transfers, temporary duty assignments and acting positions.
• Promote gender equality and internal staff development throughout hiring and promotion processes.
• Lead safeguarding mechanisms, case management and compliance monitoring to protect staff and beneficiaries.
• Manage administrative functions such as lease agreements, asset registers and record‑keeping to support operational efficiency.
• Collaborate with HR, admin and safeguarding directors, the Field Office Manager and other senior managers to ensure policy implementation.

Required profile

• Significant experience in HR, administration and safeguarding within an international or humanitarian context.
• Proven ability to lead recruitment, staff development and performance management processes.
• Strong understanding of safeguarding policies, case management and compliance requirements.
• Excellent coordination and communication skills with field teams and senior management.
• Willingness to undergo a police/background check.
