Senior HR, Safeguarding and Admin Officer

About the role

The Senior HR, Safeguarding and Admin Officer provides operational leadership across human resources, administration, and safeguarding functions for the Area Office and its project sites. The role ensures recruitment, staff management, performance, learning, and safeguarding processes are aligned with organisational policies and values.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate recruitment planning with field offices and support the North AO, ensuring timely hiring and accurate recruitment trackers.
• Manage the full recruitment cycle, including job offers, onboarding, vetting, reference checks, and candidate communication.
• Oversee staff movements such as promotions, transfers, temporary duty assignments, and acting positions.
• Promote gender equality and internal staff promotion throughout hiring processes.
• Lead safeguarding mechanisms, case management, and compliance monitoring to maintain a safe and inclusive work environment.
• Administer leases, assets, and record‑keeping to support operational efficiency and risk mitigation.
• Collaborate with HR, admin, and safeguarding directors, as well as the Field Office Manager, on functional matters.
• Provide guidance on HR policies, performance management, and learning systems.

Required profile

• Significant experience in HR leadership, recruitment, and staff administration.
• Strong understanding of safeguarding principles and case management.
• Proven ability to work with cross‑functional teams and manage administrative processes.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
