Senior Programme Associate – Monitoring, Accountability & Learning

About the role

The Senior Programme Associate will support IOM Ethiopia’s Monitoring, Accountability and Learning (MAL) functions within the Addis Ababa Programme Office. Reporting to the National M&E Officer and the Senior Programme Support Coordinator, the role focuses on gathering, analysing and reporting community and programme feedback.

Key responsibilities

• Collect, analyse and report monitoring data for selected projects, including post‑distribution monitoring, exit interviews and beneficiary verification.
• Provide actionable recommendations based on data analysis and follow up on the uptake of MEAL recommendations.
• Support the mainstreaming of Accountability to Affected Populations (AAP) across all IOM programmes and management cycles.
• Assist in implementing the mission’s AAP plan, including communication strategy development and inclusive community engagement.
• Manage community feedback mechanisms, such as the phone hotline, and train/supervise hotline operators.

Required profile

• Relevant university degree or equivalent professional experience in monitoring, evaluation, humanitarian assistance or related fields.
• Minimum of 5 years experience in programme monitoring, data analysis and community feedback mechanisms.
• Demonstrated ability to work in a multicultural environment and to engage vulnerable populations.
