Senior Tax Auditor

About the role

The Senior Tax Auditor will lead the planning, execution, and review of tax audits to ensure Crown Moon Trading complies with all applicable tax laws and regulations. This full‑time, hybrid position is based in Dire Dawa and supports the company’s commodity trading activities across the Horn of Africa.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, conduct and review tax audits of financial records and transactions.
• Analyze tax risks, prepare detailed audit reports and recommend corrective actions.
• Collaborate with internal finance, operations and legal teams, and liaise with external tax authorities and advisors.
• Monitor regulatory developments and advise on tax implications of business decisions.
• Support internal controls to maintain accurate and compliant tax records.

Required profile

• Strong expertise in tax audits, tax law and tax compliance.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Taxation or related field; professional certification (CPA, chartered accountant, etc.) is a plus.
• Several years of tax auditing experience, preferably in trading, logistics or commodity sectors, with familiarity with Ethiopian tax regulations.
• High ethical standards, discretion with sensitive information, and ability to work independently and collaboratively.
