Warehouse Officer – TSFP (Goljano Woreda)

About the role

The TSFP Warehouse Officer will manage the storage and movement of food commodities in Goljano (Harshin) woreda. Working under the Health Nutrition Coordinator, the officer ensures that commodities are received, stored, and dispatched safely and in line with Save the Children policies.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain the physical condition, cleanliness, security and safety of the warehouse.
• Receive food shipments using waybills and verify quantities against approved distribution plans (DAM).
• Prepare and dispatch commodities to mini‑stores, coordinating with transporters to meet delivery schedules.
• Apply proper handling techniques: FIFO stacking, use of plastic sheets, adequate spacing, daily inspections and physical inventory checks.
• Update and reconcile warehouse records, including ledgers and stack cards, immediately after each transaction.
• File all incoming and outgoing documents (waybills, DAM, loss approvals) and meet reporting deadlines.
• Comply with SCI fraud, bribery, corruption policies and child safeguarding level 3 requirements.

Required profile

• Willingness and ability to work in environments where contact with children and young people occurs.
• Understanding of Save the Children’s compliance and risk‑management policies.
• Ability to follow standard operating procedures for commodity handling and documentation.
