Consultant – EMAP+ Resource Package Adaptation for Ethiopia

About the role

The International Rescue Committee (IRC) is seeking a qualified consultant to adapt and finalize the EMAP+ resource package for Ethiopia under the POWER program. This remote, home‑based assignment will support the Women’s Protection and Empowerment (WPE) initiative and contribute to gender‑based violence prevention efforts.

Key responsibilities

• Adapt the EMAP+ resource package to the Ethiopian context, ensuring alignment with POWER program objectives.
• Finalize all deliverables, incorporating feedback from the Global Violence Prevention and Response Unit and IRC technical advisors.
• Coordinate with the IRC WPE Coordinator and the East Africa WPE Technical Advisor throughout the project.
• Document lessons learned and provide recommendations for future implementation.

Required profile

• Demonstrated experience in humanitarian programming, especially gender‑based violence (GBV) prevention.
• Strong understanding of women’s protection and empowerment initiatives in conflict‑affected settings.
• Ability to work independently and deliver high‑quality outputs within a short timeframe.
