Country Manager – Ethiopia

About the role

VAS is looking for an experienced, entrepreneurial Country Manager to launch and lead its Visa and Government Service Centers across Ethiopia. The role combines strategic leadership, operational oversight, and stakeholder management to build a high‑performing service network.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute the country strategy for opening and scaling visa service centers.
• Identify new locations, partnerships and growth opportunities aligned with business goals.
• Oversee end‑to‑end operations, ensuring customer service excellence, efficiency and quality.
• Implement SOPs, SLAs and operational controls across all sites.
• Own the country P&L, manage budgets, forecasts and commercial agreements.
• Build, lead and develop local leadership and operations teams.
• Ensure compliance with Ethiopian regulations, licensing and data‑privacy standards.
• Represent VAS with government authorities, embassies, consulates and strategic partners.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, Operations or related field.
• MBA or equivalent postgraduate qualification preferred.
• 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in visa services, government outsourcing, BPO or regulated service environments.
• Proven ability to build and scale operations in Ethiopia.
