Junior Marketing Officer

About the role

Swenetix is looking for a creative, proactive and results-oriented Junior Marketing Officer to support the growth of its ERP and business software solutions. The role covers market research, brand development, marketing campaigns, customer engagement and lead generation, within a fast-growing startup environment.

Key responsibilities

• Research market trends, customer needs and competitor activity to identify business opportunities.
• Develop and run marketing plans and campaigns to promote products and strengthen brand awareness.
• Prepare marketing materials, product presentations, proposals and promotional content.
• Identify potential customers, generate leads and keep up consistent communication and follow-ups.
• Organise and take part in product demonstrations, exhibitions and networking events.
• Monitor marketing performance, report results and recommend improvements.
• Work with the team to align marketing activities with business objectives.

Required profile

• Degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications or a related field, with 1-2 years of relevant experience; fresh graduates with strong potential are encouraged to apply.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills in English and Amharic.
• Proactive attitude, ownership, accountability and willingness to learn.
• Genuine interest in technology and business software.

Required skills

• Good understanding of marketing principles, market research and customer needs.
• Ability to manage tasks independently, work to targets, solve problems and adapt to a fast-moving startup.
• Advantageous: knowledge of ERP, POS, accounting or business management systems.
• Advantageous: familiarity with marketing, content creation and CRM tools.
