Lead Analyst – Systems & Business Analysis

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Lead Analyst to join a digital banking project in Ethiopia. You will help build a modern, technology‑driven bank and shape its analytics function from the ground up.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with Product Owners to define research questions, success metrics and validation plans, and analyze customer journeys, funnels and operational data.
• Design TO‑BE processes and end‑to‑end flows across digital channels, core banking systems and integrations, modelling workflows with BPMN 2.0, UML and sequence diagrams.
• Lead and mentor a team of analysts, establish analysis practices and documentation standards, and work closely with Product, Architecture, Engineering and QA teams.

Required profile

• 3+ years of experience leading systems analysis, product analytics or business analysis, with hands‑on expertise in BPMN, UML and API design.
• Strong SQL skills, ability to define functional requirements, user stories and acceptance criteria, and experience with REST/gRPC APIs, micro‑services and event‑driven architectures.
