Data Insights and Analytics Advisor - BRIDGE+ Project

About the role

The Data Insights and Analytics Advisor supports the BRIDGE+ project (Building Rural Income through Inclusive Dairy Business Growth in Ethiopia), implemented by a consortium of SNV, Wageningen University & Research and Agriterra. The role turns data from multiple components, regions and partners into reliable, actionable management information, combining data systems management with advanced analysis and decision support. It reports to the Partnership & Performance Advisor and covers data architecture, system administration, data processing, quality controls, reproducible analysis, dashboards and analytical products, including the use of LogAlto.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and maintain the program's data systems, analytics and visualisation plan, data-management procedures, dictionaries, metadata and data-flow documentation
• Administer LogAlto and other approved data tools, and design and maintain digital data-collection tools and databases aligned with the results framework
• Integrate data across components, regions and partners, automate routine processing and develop decision-oriented dashboards
• Apply data-sharing, retention, archiving, backup and recovery requirements and escalate suspected security or confidentiality incidents
• Translate MEAL-approved indicators and validation rules into data structures, run data-quality checks and reconcile data
• Analyse quantitative and qualitative data, prepare analytical briefs, management updates and graphics for donor and learning reports, and advise management on performance trends and investment options
• Train program and partner staff in data collection, quality, analysis and visualisation, and represent BRIDGE+ on technical data matters with corporate data, digital and IT functions

Required profile

• Master's degree in data science, Statistics, Computer Science, Information Systems, Economics, Agricultural Economics or a related field with at least six years of relevant experience; or a bachelor's degree with at least nine years
• Progressive experience in data analytics, database management and data-system design and implementation
• Desirable: experience in agriculture, agribusiness, value-chain development or donor-funded programs, and familiarity with LogAlto, mobile data-collection tools, Tableau or similar visualisation software
• Fluency in Amharic and English; willingness to travel to BRIDGE+ program regions

Required skills

• Advanced Microsoft Excel and Power BI, including data modelling, Power Query and DAX
• Practical SQL for querying, joining, validating and transforming relational data
• Proficiency in Python, R or Stata for reproducible data preparation and statistical analysis
• Knowledge of statistics, database management, data governance, protection, security and confidentiality

The contract is for one year, with possible extension depending on performance and budget, starting in December 2026. Applications are submitted via the online application portal with a CV and a letter of motivation before 5 November 2026.
