Sanitary Engineer

About the role

HUDEIN Studio, a multidisciplinary creative studio working across architecture, graphic design, web development and product design, is looking for a Sanitary Engineer. The engineer designs and develops sanitary and plumbing systems and prepares the engineering documentation needed for construction.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop sanitary and plumbing systems, including water supply, wastewater drainage, soil and waste piping and stormwater management.
• Prepare detailed engineering drawings, calculations, technical specifications and construction documentation.
• Visit sites, assess site conditions and analyse project requirements to develop appropriate engineering solutions.
• Coordinate sanitary systems with architectural, structural, electrical and mechanical designs.
• Take part in design analysis, concept development, technical reviews and design refinement from concept to final construction drawings.
• Identify and resolve design conflicts through technical coordination and problem solving.
• Ensure compliance with building codes, engineering standards and regulations.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver accurate, efficient design packages within project timelines.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Sanitary Engineering, Water Supply and Environmental Engineering or a related field.
• Relevant experience in building sanitary and plumbing system design is an advantage.
• Strong understanding of building water supply, drainage and wastewater systems.
• Ability to interpret architectural and structural drawings and coordinate multidisciplinary systems.
• Strong analytical, communication, teamwork and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work accurately and quickly in a fast-paced design environment.

Required skills

• Proficiency in AutoCAD and relevant sanitary engineering design and calculation software.
