Interior Project Manager - Hotel Fit-Out

About the role

A prestigious hotel development in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia is looking for an experienced Interior Project Manager. This is a 9-month on-site assignment starting in January 2027, where you will own the delivery of the hotel's interior fit-out and coordinate contractors, suppliers, designers and the wider project team. Fluency in Mandarin Chinese is essential, as you will liaise daily with Mandarin-speaking contractors, suppliers and stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the interior fit-out programme from site mobilisation through to completion and handover
• Coordinate and supervise interior contractors, subcontractors and suppliers on site
• Act as the main link between Mandarin-speaking teams and the design and client teams
• Monitor progress, quality, cost and programme, and report regularly to stakeholders
• Review shop drawings, samples, mock-ups and material submissions against design intent
• Resolve on-site issues, manage snagging and coordinate defects close-out
• Ensure compliance with health and safety requirements and project standards

Required profile

• Proven experience managing interior fit-outs on hotel or high-end hospitality projects
• Fluent Mandarin Chinese, with strong spoken and written English
• Experience on international projects, ideally in emerging markets
• Willingness to be based on site in Addis Ababa for the full 9 months
