Senior Electoral Logistics Specialist

About the role

The National Election Board of Ethiopia (NEBE) is entering a post‑election phase that requires strengthening its logistics systems. UNDP, through the SEEDS II project, is hiring a Senior Electoral Logistics Specialist to provide strategic and technical support for planning, coordinating and reviewing election logistics operations.

Key responsibilities

• Assess and improve procurement, warehousing, transportation and distribution processes for electoral materials.
• Develop and implement asset‑management and retrieval systems to ensure timely delivery and secure storage.
• Coordinate with NEBE senior management and UNDP technical advisers to align logistics plans with overall electoral reform objectives.
• Provide guidance on operational preparedness for future elections, including risk mitigation and lessons‑learned integration.
• Prepare analytical reports and recommendations for institutional consolidation of logistics functions.

Required profile

• Extensive experience (minimum 8 years) in election logistics or large‑scale procurement and supply‑chain management.
• Proven track record of working in complex security or post‑conflict environments.
• Strong understanding of electoral processes and the role of logistics in ensuring free and fair elections.
