Business Development Advisor – Refugee & Host Entrepreneurs

About the role

Inkomoko Ethiopia is looking for a Business Development Advisor to work directly with refugee and host entrepreneurs, helping them acquire the skills and strategies needed to scale their businesses. The role combines training delivery, strategic advising, and relationship management to support sustainable growth.

Key responsibilities

• Design, deliver, and monitor training programs for incoming entrepreneurs, using both in‑person and digital methods.
• Identify and enroll suitable entrepreneurs into the Inkomoko program.
• Develop and update training content to reflect the evolving needs of refugee‑owned businesses.
• Prepare training reports, track attendance, and coordinate logistics with the Training Support Associate.
• Conduct business assessments to uncover market opportunities and entrepreneur needs.
• Create comprehensive business strategies and plans tailored to each entrepreneur.
• Provide ongoing mentorship and support across HR, accounting, finance, marketing, human‑centered design, and innovation.

Required profile

• Proven experience working with entrepreneurs, preferably in a development or SME context.
• Strong ability to design and facilitate training sessions for diverse audiences.
• Excellent analytical skills for business assessments and strategic planning.
• Effective communication and relationship‑building capabilities.
