Sales & Marketing Specialist – Heavy Machinery

About the role

Zoomlion Ethiopia is seeking a dynamic Sales & Marketing Specialist to promote its range of machinery, equipment, spare parts, and services. You will work closely with existing and prospective clients across the country, driving business growth in the heavy‑machinery sector.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and pursue new business opportunities and sales leads throughout Ethiopia.
• Conduct client visits, presentations, product demonstrations and negotiate contracts to close sales.
• Prepare quotations, proposals, contracts and tender documents in line with company standards.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, dealers, contractors and government institutions.
• Carry out market research, monitor competitor activity, pricing trends and customer demand.
• Support marketing campaigns, exhibitions, roadshows and promotional events.
• Track sales activities, generate regular performance reports and coordinate with technical, logistics, finance and after‑sales teams.
• Follow up on customer payments and assist with credit control.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration or a related field.
• 3–5 years of sales and marketing experience, preferably in heavy machinery, construction equipment or related industries.
• Familiarity with the Ethiopian market and business environment.
• Strong communication, negotiation and presentation abilities.
• Self‑motivated, target‑oriented and able to work independently.
• Willingness to travel frequently within Ethiopia.
